DICE uses the recordings heavily to impressively blow up the world in their AAA title Battlefield V and now you can get the recordings and their ready-to-use designed sounds in stereo and 5.1 surround for your very own projects. It’s a highly explosive pack with 13.4GB of explosion sound effects.

They consider sound design as a craftsmanship and they’re very happy and proud to rely on the talent of four really outstanding sound designers that know their trade and left bright traces in the world of sound design.

WHAT THEY RECORDED

Finding an urban environment where they can detonate a pile of explosives wasn’t easy to accomplish. It had to be an abandoned area with buildings that are constructed and placed as in a modern city. After some intensive research they found a place that was just perfect. They found it in the former USSR. To get the most out of the recordings, they picked 15 interior and outdoor detonation spots and recorded the explosions with up to 42 microphone channels.

URBAN EXPLOSIONS has been recorded in association with BATTLEFIELD V and thus with the audio team of EA / DICE that is responsible for such great games as BATTLEFIELD, STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT, MIRROR’S EDGE.
