Protoverb u-he

Protoverb is a free, experimental “research-ware” reverb plugin developed by the brand u-he. It simulates the body of air in a room by intentionally building up resonances via random delay networks and feedback, rather than avoiding them like conventional algorithmic reverbs. The result is a natural, airy reverberation where held notes trigger ambient buildup, instruments remain distinct rather than muddy, and short melodies can create ghost-echoes reminiscent of large halls or churches.
